Assalamualaikum :)

moi first post for 2012. Alhamdullilah, thank you ALLAH for giving me yet another day to breath and live. 

So, how was your new year celebration? new resolutions? new attitude? new hair style? new love?

mine was just normal. nothing changed. nothing upgraded. nothing added.but i did lose something. i decided not to make any resolution this year. i learned that there is no point making new resolutions every year when you clearly know you will never make effort to fulfil it (*me). so this year i don't have any resolution. i'll just let me be free and do anything i want - unplanned is better.

2011 has been one of the best years. in fact it was the year where i travelled the most; both local and internationally. it was a year where i gained the most experience and has gotten wiser (* a bit). it was indeed, a year i will remember :

JANUARY

started the year by going backpacking with my girlfriends! we went to penang for the weekend. it was an impromptu vacation where everything was done last minute. the train tickets, the flight tickets, lodging reservation. everything was done in less than a week!

*gained 2kg in two days during the trip!


FEBRUARY 

 it was Erin's wedding and half of the class went to celebrate her wedding. it was also the mid semester break for me. Papa took us back to Terengganu for a short vacay. and at last i get to go visit masjid kristal. all these while, i only get to look at it from a far.



back from the holidays, went for a one day trip to PD and Malacca with the housemates and fets. that was my first time going to Malacca! haha.


.....and naqib flew off to Australia to further his master in architecture for 2 years. was just in time to catch him before he departs. and he's coming back next month! haha.


MARCH

nothing much happened in march. but i did get the chance to go to the hot air balloon festival in putrajaya. although it was raining cats and dogs and the balloon need to be put down. at least i was there.


.....and i managed to organized my very first garage sale! it was a success; although not as big as the bazaars; but it is something i can be proud of. it was tiring. 2 days of garage sales, the hot weather, managing the customer,and CLEANING UP!



APRIL

was called for TPM interview. was veryveryvery nervous. the next day i got a call from metrowealth saying that i was hired by their subtitle department. and i worked my ass out for david teo for a month. it was a month where i had no fun at all. just work work work and sleep. but it was a great experience!


MAY

well, i resigned from metrowealth after a month. i got a new job which is far better in terms of salary and working hours. i was an english tutor for kids and toddler at PIXELS subang jaya. it was ok because i love kids and babies and working with them made my day. worked there for 4 months before i resigned to start my semester.


went to bukit cerakah for some healthy-time with the girls. this is why we stay close; because we can do anything and everything. even a simple thing seemed so interesting with them!


Finally! after a year of  careful planning, i went to Bandung with my parents for a shopping getaway :) it was the best. since i hardly had time to go back home, the trip was a getaway for me and a chance for me to spend some quality time (and money) with them. you can read about the trip here, here, here, here 


JUNE

another one of my 'geng wanita elit' got hitched! Tim tied the knots with jubey in June and as usual the classmates were there to celebrate the happy couple :)


....and i did something off my 'want-to-do-in-life' list. i was an extra in a corporate video. it was shot in prettypeektures HQ. i have been one of PP's fan ever since i saw their work of art. and to get the chance to work with them was a dream came true. alhamdullilah :) call me a freak but i was star struck when i saw Azmin (the founder of PP)


JULY

july was the month i travelled the most! i remembered my weekend was full with activities and hang outs session with the girls. it was jaja and mezah's birthmonth and i almost successfully planned a surprise party for them in my own room. that was the day i realized that i suck at planning surprise parties. but we had a great time!

Got the chance to be part of Bon Odori festival again! i went there in 2010 but was too late to catch the whole dancing because we were late. but this year (2011) we made it in time! much better this year, i wore the traditional outfit. it is not a kimono; forgot the real name. it was gra's but she lend it to me.


the very next day after Bon Odori, we went to ipoh for the sake of jimba. we were so bored with KL and shah alam, we decided to go out of town for a day.haha.that is just how crazy we can go! it was a day trip but we had fun. it was tiring but it was amazing! read about the amazing-ness here, here, here, here, here. yes, it was a one day trip; it was so amazing that i need to split it into 5 different parts for you to read :p


after a year of not seeing each other, pocik finally came to shah alam! she took me to an art exhibition (my first time going there). 


AUGUST

Ramadhan! ramadhan = raya shopping. lokasi wajib is jalan tar. went there with the girls. still wonders where the hell did i get all those strength to walk around and shop while fasting. i am a superwoman when it comes to shopping!


iftar session with my boys :) stayed until the workers gave us signals that they are about to close for the day.


pocik came, again! this time for raya shopping and to mend her broken heart. again, i managed to walk and shop but didn't drop/collapse. i must be a mutant. and i went back to nilai with pocik for buka puasa session with the grandparents. i miss atuk :(


Ramadhan will not be complete without 'bunga api session'. we have been doing this tradition for 2 years now :) sometimes, doing childish stuffs keeps you down to earth. keeps you close to your roots.


...And it was fets and mya's birthmonth! They were born on the same date so we went out for iftar session at Fullhouse sunway pyramid. treat them with some cakes :)



SEPTEMBER

Raya aidilfitri. This year it was Nilai's turn so we celebrated the 1st day of raya there. head back to terengganu on 3rd raya.  Raya this year was so-so. primary reason being the amount of duit raya collection : doomed! i hate being an adult. i don't get duit raya anymore. but i am proud to tell that i gave my brothers duit raya! haha.sikit je but it was a moment to be remembered.





was invited to attend DBKL's charity dinner



OCTOBER

nad's convocation and mya getting smaller and smaller each day while i got bigger and bigger by day :p


went to JB-singapore-malacca family vacation! scored another stamp for my passport.tehee~


NOVEMBER

my birthmonth!!!! november is my favourite month because its my birthday. haha. and again my friends was successful at giving me a birthday surprise.damn they're good at surprising me!


after more than 6 year of not seeing each other, i reunited with my former matriculation buddies at anna's wedding. she was the first to get married (i think so).



DECEMBER

again, family vacation to PD/Malacca. but this time THE WHOLE family went! haha. i was pretty tied with assignments and test but hell with that, i need time with my family. it was a therapy :) 


what made 2011 more memorable and meaningful was the fact that jaja was engaged a day before christmas! she was the first among the 9 of us to be engaged. she took the first step. she started a new era for us. 



that is almost everything amazing that happened in 2011. it was amazing. it was a year i laughed the most and cried the least. 

but one thing for sure, if you look closer, i gained weight tru the months. hahaha. i lose some weight then gained a few pounds the following month. then i lose again...and gain again. yo-yo weight sindrom.

i don't care. i am happy. and that is enough for me :)
